CRUISE DAY 1- Singapore day2

From this log it will be called Cruise day-#.
On the fifth day it will have Singapore Day3.

Alright!! everybody's excited about going to cruise!

Lemme give you a brief expla-- (tomatoes thrown on me) OKAY! no explanation, just pictures!!

Our ship.

it is all fresh on my mind. We went to pack and stuff, and got breakfast, yadda yadda, got on a cab (separated, somehow) and because we were seperated, I was with Acen (Jason, my lil cousin.. from now on, we'll call him this) , his dad, and his mom, we actully arrived in different lobby and this caused us a little difficulty. we asked 2 people about where we should be if we are going to the cruise, and carrying a baggage is not the fun thing to do when you are looking around for the Lobby C.

Arrived in the place. We waited a while, yadda yadda, met Marvin's cousin forgot who his name was, filled out some forms, found out that wireless@SG is free and we had to sign up but when I sign up it gave me a F*cking blank page. Damn!

We are on board, we got our cards which is super important because without that, we are strangers on cruise.

What I don't like from the card is for 17 and below they gave us this 2 tiny holes WHICH, means that you are not an adult which means that the BAR is off limits once they saw that holes on the card and we can't peek into the Casino, and sometimes we will get some restrictions, explained later.

Here is where I get to know him.

Nat. He is the youth staff in this ship and he really looked chinese.

We were told to get close to this table because we were kids and stuff, and we gathered around.

He started.

N: Okay, kids.. blah blah (telling us about kids)

The second he talks english and I was preparing to laugh because I thought he was singaporean, He speak with American accent. I was amazed.

and he got into this part where he gave the kids under 11 those red tags bracelet so if anything happens to this ship, the staff will take them first and rescue them. I was thinking, what can these kids do when they don't have parents with them? '

for us who are teens, 12 and above, we got this special program for teenagers which involved lots of teens stuffs.

After that, he told us about the 5pm on 5th deck but it turned out to be 4pm anyway, that emergency drill. Before we left, I asked him about his english.

S: Umm, random question. Are you singaporean?

N: No..

S: Oh, okay, coz you don't sound like one. Where are you from?

N: I don't sound like one? hahaha, I am from Canada.

S: ooh....

I thought he was just one of the land staffs or something.

so we went to our cabins, packed out our stuffs and let our moms do their stuffs, and we cruised out. I didn't bother about that teens stuff until after emergency and finding out that we had this cool pizza bar that serves anytime we want without charge.

and the internet isnt free.

you gotta pay $0.55 perminute. Expensive.

I found out that singaporean dollars do nothing. it's all American Dollars in here.

I went for a dip on the jacuzzi and wore my bikini :) but used a roxy top on it.. :\ I didn't wanna wet my hair so I had to clip it up. Yes, the Jacuzzi is  SUPER AWESOME!

I was wrapped in towel. I was here because my key card is with my cousin which is in her purse which she unintentionally gave it to her aunt. Hm...

so we have this dinner time on 8.30 every night with casual attire except tomorrow we have to use formals. I attended the dinner and found out that I was late to the Optix, which it all already started. So I went there as fast as possible and very surprised to find out that lots of teens are there, with the supervisor... NAT!

S: hey, you are that canadian guy!

N: Yeah, yeah, everyone's canadian, can I have your seapass card?

Clearly, he forgot about me. Maybe.

We had this 'teen' writing on the card that make it more obvious how I am not allowed to pose as adult.

They were finished with this psycho test.

A sec after that we were in groups, three groups. the other groups had this 2 Australian kids, Seb and Jamie, Ena, and I forgot who.

I am in this team with Filipinos and Indonesians. But I forgot whoever was there except me, my cousin, two indonesians from Surabaya, Tyrone, Dustin and others I forgot.

We had these fun games like If Nat tells us something we had to show him first, for examples:

"Switch shoes, girls with boys and vice versa"

so we did.

"Pose as honeymoon"

Me and Marvin cuddled (don't get this the wrong way. we are cousins) , but then he said,

"it has to be like this (the man carry the woman)"

The second he said that, I was carried by Marvin already.

"make a human pyramid!"

So we did. We have this smaller-sized girl that was on top, the big boys under, and me and another boy on the second level. We won.

"show me your piercings."

I gave my ear, Nat wanted more than ear, I got nothing, but the other group had it.

"show me tattoos!"

I got one on my hips on the back, so we got it, altough it's not permanent.

he got this thing that made us curious, is that he wouldnt tell us his age.

That successfully made us VERY SUPREMELY, including me, CURIOUS!

I say 27. we'll find out on a few logs later.

Then we have this Wii ping Pong Tournament. I am terrible at that.
I mean the table tennis part.

I found out it isnt as hard as it could be, so I won over my cousin Marvin and he seemed very unaccepting. Well, he's the one with the Wii and I'm the one only playing it in a vacation like 3 years ago.

I won until The finals and got beaten by this kid I didnt know and found out that he is Chris.

But I got silver medal, which Marvin wanted so badly :D

Cool, eh?

He even wanted to buy them! Nat said "you have to EARN your medal!"

Yup, did all the boasting after that :P to my parents, ladadada, and go to sleep to our very cute cabins.
Mine is with 2 single beds, a very small bathroom that only fits one person so whoever thought of showering together, nope that's not gonna happen!

Also a loveseat sofa, with a very small TV, like, not bigger than a macbook's screen and since I am always with the elves, we watch the re-runned Ben 10 all the time. Like how Ben 10 grew up with more aliens like echo echo, dealing with those slimy other aliens that turned out to be human, Kevin on their side, having a big crush on Gwen, and so-on.

I got new friends in Optix, like Tyrone, Dustin, Clarissa, etc.

So glad :)

Singapore Trip 2009-2010: DAY 1

This is fun. I love my singapore trip!

It all started at Xmas.

Before we go, I insisted on taking my CD player (I know that's old) so I can listen to music whenever I want, but apparently my parents had other plans. They had it their way. I was begging them to take my CD player and they said NO. A Straight NO.

We were supposed to leave in a minute when suddenly my parents called us (three kids) about our christmas present! it was badly wrapped in a white paper and written down with a bad handwriting. looks like santa claus lost his writing skills. We were wondering what that was until I saw the bottom part of thaat cute little box which are not undercover and I instantly...

"Oh my God. Oh Sh*T!"

There was it. The iPod Touch!

iPod TOUCH, Ladies and Gentlemen!!

 I Pod TOUCH! (8gb) I wanted a 32 gb!!! Oh well! :\

I was screaming. (duh) and I begged my parents to bring it to Singapore, without any songs in it, and I decided to take my laptop to the car, sync it for a while (I don't care if I only have 10 songs synced because our home is near airport) and bring it there. I wasn't totally right. I could take it, but what I was wrong at was that I didnt know it takes a short while to sync ALL of my songs which cost about 2GBs and all of my videos (stand-up comedians and Jon Schmidt)

Arriving in Singapore:
Too bad I couldn't explore Changi Airport because we had to rush to our hotel and stuff. I was about to just skip between terminals. There's just too much to see and so little time!

We went to this hotel named Le Meridien which is now named Concorde.
Let's just call it Concorde.

Yes, it takes a little long to check in. Oh well! I still have iPod on me and we were actually going around to take a walk.

The funny thing is the coincidence we had. I play piano and I took course since I was a little kid. That's no the point. My teacher told me to buy some books in Singapore (because it's hard to find in here, like all the books are almost complete outside Indonesia) so I did. She said to me that the music store is right behind Le Meridien hotel, and once I knew that we were staying there we were all laughing. It is such coincidence. The adults (I went to Singapore with a bunch of elves a.k.a cousins which are smaller than me) actually booked the hotel like, MONTHS before we go and my teacher told me to buy that just A WEEK before we went.

It's just too much of coincidence. :) But Good ones.

We bought lots of books, yadda yadda, our luggage are heavy as ever, yadda yadda, went to Orchard road at night and it was freakingly crowded and we had to hold each other's hands to make sure we don't get lost, especially the elves the kids.

brief explanation about cousins:
These elves kids are from my dad's side, and since my dad is the head (like the big brother) from the dads, I am the biggest child. Second to me is Marvin, which is 2 years younger but 3 grades below me, a freshmen,  (yes I entered one year early) third to me is my lil sister number 1, Fiona which is an 8th grader, 4th is our two 7th grader, Jesslyn and Marsella and apparently they looked like their bonded with invisible rope because no matter where Marsella is Jesslyn tag along and vice versa. We have two sixth grader which are the two boys that looked bonded but fight frequently, Jason and Markell. Last but not least (literally) is my other sister, lil sis number 2, which is Stesha (call her Caca) , the 5th grader (I think) which has a bigger sized body than Jason, Markell, Jesslyn, and her sister Fiona.

Well I don't wanna type too much about those elves which whenever they see me they welcome me like I am the Godmother.

me: (opens door) Hi!

Them: HIII!! YAAAAAY!!! RANI IS HERE!!!!!!!!!!

me: (full with hugs and try to free self from dying of suffocating)

Yes, that happens.

We had a blast on shopping.

The moms had a blast on shopping.

We the kids (I know, I am a teenager who is childish enough to be in the kids section looking at Sylvanian families, Ben 10 Aliens, Little cute squeaky chicken and all those stuffs.) were in the I don't know which floor on the kids section. I had a little shopping of what I really loved and that's it. Well, I basically hate shopping, but Singapore IS a place to shop and everything's on SALE, even some cost only 20 sing-bucks.

Yes, this is squeaky. It makes the Tweet sounds.

So I bought myself a new sandal because my sandals are not very good looking anymore.
(ahem) Hey, it's comfortable.

So yadda yadda and we are gone, back to hotel, trying to sleep our of the excitement to go to CRUISE The next day!
